The association
called: Arab Marine Industries Association
Article 1:
A non-lucrative apolitical association was established
in the Lebanese Republic called: Arab Marine Industries
Association.
Article 2:

Article 3:
The Association’s Objects:
1- Cooperation between its members inside Lebanon, in
Arab Countries and abroad.
2- Boosting the cooperation between them and their representation
before the official and private institutions in the
interior and abroad, with their support and providing
them with all that can develop their activities.
3- Encourage exchange of experiences between them in
view of complementarity and reinforcement of competitiveness
on the international level.
4- To set lists determining the function of members,
their establishments and their help in transporting
their marine products to the interior of Arab countries,
including the various activities and events, such as
“exhibitions and others” without any obstacle.
5- To act in view of facilities and custom exemptions
obtainment and others.
6- To take care of marine activities specially the industrial
ones of them, with their support in publicity and advertisement
Article 4:
Financial resources of the Association are composed
of:
1- The members’ subscription.
2- The governmental aids.
3- The contributions, donations, wills and the sponsorship
of various occasions.
The association’s funds are spent for the achievement
of its purposes.
Article 5:
The Association is composed of two committees: the Board
of Administration and the General Assembly. The Board
of Administration represents the General Assembly and
manages it according to its regulations and within the
laws in force.
Article 6:
The by-laws of the Association could include the creation
of committees and specific bodies, where should be mentioned
their names, tasks, the way of choosing their members
or appointing them.
Article 7:
The adhesion to the association:
The one who wishes to adhere to the association should
be:
1- Working in the field of maritime industries and services
in general including the trade, the representation of
foreign and local maritime companies, tourist services,
clubs, resorts, marinas and advertisement institutions
interested in what has been mentioned, provided that
he submits a recognized official document in this respect.
2- At his twentieth years old (20 years).
3- Enjoying his civil rights and not convicted with
any offense or dishonorable crimes.
4- Accepting the by-laws of the association and working
towards achieving its purposes.
Article 8:
- The one who enjoys the adhesion’s conditions
submit a demand in which he declares his will to join
the association attached with his police record and
a photo of his identity card.
- The Board of Administration studies in a session duly
held the demand and the attached document and take in
majority of the members the right decision.
Article 9:
The General Assembly is composed of all the effective
members adhered to, and its authorities and powers are
determined and detailed in the By-Laws.
Article 10:
The Board of Administration is composed of 12 members
elected by the General Assembly by secret vote. In order
to have a quorum in the election session, more than
half of the General Assembly members who settled their
annual subscription fees three months before the election
period should be present. The term of the Board of Administration
is two years.
A committee of at least three members of the General
Assembly runs the election session. A delegate representing
the General Directorate of Interior in the Ministry
of Interior supervises the elections.
Article 11:
The Administrative and Political Affairs Department-
Associations Section in the General Directorate of Interior
in the Ministry of Interior should be notified with
a copy of the Board of Administration election announcement
document determining the place and the date of the election,
a month at least before the determined date.
The security authority existing in the region should
also be informed of the place of the Board of Administration
members’ election.
Article 12:
The distribution of functions of members is done directly
after the election of the Board of Administration if
the by-laws stipulated it, otherwise, the elected Board
of Administration hold a meeting headed by the oldest
member and chooses a president, a vice-president, a
general secretary, a treasurer and an accountant. A
representative of the Association is assigned before
the government. One member in the Board of Administration
could be entrusted with two functions maximum, except
for the decision-making right and the execution of spending
the money. The Board of Administration’s tasks
and the members’ functions are determined in the
By-Laws of the Association.
Article 13:
The founders carry out the Board of Administration’s
powers for the period of one year as from the date of
granting the license to the Association.
Article 14:
The Association is entitled to call for a new election
of the Board of Administration before the term of the
previous Board upon the proposal of one third of the
Association’s members and the approval of at least
two third of the members.
Article 15:
The General Assembly is allowed to amend this Articles
of Association upon the proposal of the Administrative
Committee or upon the proposal of 20% (twenty per cent)
of its members. In order to be valid, this proposal
should have the approval of two thirds of the members.
Article 16:
In addition to the conditions stipulated in the Law
concerning the Associations, the Association could be
dissolved upon the presentation of a request and according
to a decision of the General Assembly approved by 75%
at least of all the members.
Article 17:
If the association is dissolved, all its funds and properties
become the Handicapped Hope (AL AMAL) Institution’s
property.
