In 2004 in Beirut AMIA organized The First International Conference on Marinas and Seafront Development in the Middle East.
The conference highlighted regional achievements in marina and seafront development and was sponsored by EMAAR.The conference hosted regional and International keynote speakers, and attracted an abundance of International marine industry professionals and decision-makers involved in seafront development projects.
A similar event on the "2nd International Conference on Seafront Development and Real Estate in the Middle East" took place on the 18th of May 2006 at Le Royal Hotel, Lebanon.
This conference hosted International speakers such as Dan Natchez of ICOMIA, and others. The attendees were VIPs, businessmen, real estate developers, government officials and others from Lebanon, Gulf, Egypt, the Middle East, and Europe
The event was organized by the Arab Marine Industries Association (AMIA) in collaboration with the World of Yachts & Boats Magazine, the conference was supported by Messe Düsseldorf and International Fairs & Promotions (IFP) the organizers of Beirut Boat Show
